For the information of all interested relatives, friends, and associates... AncestryDNA researchers published their latest DNA ethnicity estimates dated September 2026:
Comments: Quebec (aka "New France") -- in accordance with paper documents, our Quebec maternal ancestors came from France starting in about 1650. The paternal 2% DNA from Ireland is beyond me... this small DNA percentage could be logically explained from the maternal side... but any paternal Irish component is not supported by primary or secondary paper documents and source remains unknown.
